In Term 4, Preps will be exploring music with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander focus as part of a combined Arts unit. They will look at Indigenous stories, dance and song and begin understanding how all of these have a powerful connection to the land, nature and animals of Australia. Preps will work on creating an animal soundscape that connects to some of the work they will be doing in Art based on the book ‘An Australian 1,2,3 of Animals’ by Indigenous artist Bronwyn Bancroft.
Grade 1 and 2
In Term 4, Grade 1 and 2 students will be exploring the music of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as part of a combined Arts unit.
